Love is like a leaf falling
Slowly and softly floating to the ground
Not knowing where to go but
With a feeling the makes you fly.

Love is like a leaf on a riverbank
Lost among the thousands of other leafs
But feeling like the only one
And knowing they feel the same.

Love is like a leaf landing in the water
Hard and fast as it throws you about
Not knowing which way is up and which is down
And hoping you're not the only one.

Love is like a leaf being pulled by a current
The strength of it is enough to overpower you
And it hurts when it makes an unexpected move
But you know you wouldn't have it any other way.

Love is like a leaf washing up on the bank
Weak and breathless as you try to recover
The pain will be with you for a while
But you would do it all again.
